Norbert Hammill

Norbert James "Norb" Hammill, age 83, of Largo, FL went home to Jesus on the evening of Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was under the care of Hospice at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, two sons and daughter in-law. Norbert was an electrician through the IBEW (Local 131) of Kalamazoo, MI. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the American Legion for fourteen years and he spent four years in the Air Force. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and provider for his family. He helped guide his children to successful lives and careers while instilling virtuous values in them. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary; sister Jane Kavanaugh of Kalamazoo, MI, three children, son Tod Hammill (and wife Patrice) of Seminole, FL, daughter Tonya Rogers of Kalamazoo, MI, son Teryl Hammill (and wife Karen) of Okemos, MI and seven grandchildren. There will be a viewing and prayer service on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The address is 7820 38th Avenue North. St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
