After their children had grown, they retired to Ocala, Florida.

They recently returned to their hometown of Colon to be closer to their family.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Evarts; her three children, Ginger (Jerry) Smeltzer, Jon (Rona) Evarts, Michael (Sheryl) Evarts; her grandchildren, Andrea (Craig) Schumacher, Steven (Jessie) Smeltzer, Alexandria Evarts, Mitchell(Marilyn) Evarts, Stephanie Gibson, and Greg Gibson; her great-grandchildren, Mara Schumacher, Jack Schumacher, Tucker Warren, Ira Smeltzer, Julian Smeltzer, and nine other great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Wattles, brothers, Larry (Janet) Decker, Kenny (Vie) Decker, and Norman (Kathy) Decker.
