Nancy Crandle

Mrs. Nancy Jean Crandle, age 82, of Spring Lake passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born June 13, 1941, in Grand Rapids to Rolland and Mary (Grose) Derrick. On July 30, 1960, she married Albert Crandle and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2012. Nancy was a member of Westwood Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo and very active in the church's Friendship Ministry. Ministry was very important to Nancy and Albert as they opened their door to many who were in crisis and needed a place to stay. She was also one of the first hospice volunteers in Kalamazoo and did that for many years. She is survived by two children, Dr. Jeff (Laura) Crandle, Darren (Chris) Crandle; eight grandchildren: Chelsea (Rob) Lantz, Lindsey Crandle, Joshua (Laura) Crandle, Lucas (Cassie) Crandle, Evan (Jenny) Crandle, Lauren (Jordan) Day, Hannah Crandle and Emma Crandle; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Tony) Palazzolo; sister in law, Grace Atchinson. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2024, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Cooper Twp Cemetery.
