Age 41, passed away from a ruptured aorta on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was born in Kalamazoo on May 14, 1983, the son of Richard and Rhonda (Ryan) Misiasz. A selfless person with a kind and gentle heart, Mitch was loved by many. His smile, laughter and joy for life will be missed by all who know him. Mitch graduated from Hackett Catholic High School, Class of 2001 and worked on his master's degree at WMU. He was passionate about helping others, which lead to a career in social work at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo, where he focused on helping people find housing. Mitch loved his work and often put the needs of others ahead of his own. When not working he enjoyed the simple treasures of life. He spent many hours in his garden and loved flowers. He loved art and was a Broadway musical fan, never missing a chance to see his favorite production, Rent. He was soft natured and loved spending time with his dogs, "Hilde and Olivia". Above all, Mitch loved his family and friends. He was a proud son and grandson, a loyal brother, a doting uncle and a dedicated friend who leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. To know Mitch was to love him and he will be missed. He is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Rhonda; siblings, Meaghan (Abid Khan) Misiasz; Matthew (Jacqueline) Misiasz; nieces and nephews, Layth and Myza Khan, Giovanni, Rosaleigh and Deangelo Misiasz; an extended family and many friends.
