Minnie Crane

CRANE - Minnie Ruth Crane, a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at age 88. She loved traveling, family gatherings, spending time with her friends and serving her community as a volunteer for many years at Metropolitan Hospital. Minnie is survived by her loving husband, Mark, of 63 years. She is also survived by four children, son, Edward (Ann) Crane of Fayetteville, NC, daughter, Nancy (Douglas) DeBruin, of Kentwood, MI , son, Daniel (Cathy) Crane, of St. Ignace, MI, and daughter, Ruth (Steven) Waterman, of Zeeland, MI. Minnie is also survived by eight grandchildren, Bayley and Jocelyn Crane, Jaimelyn (David) DeVries, Christopher DeBruin (Kari Woods), Jennifer (Timothy) Zuiderveen, Brian (Stacey) Crane, and Justin and Rachel Waterman. Additionally, Minnie is survived by seven great-grandchildren, Jack Devries, Abby Woods and Anna Brinks, Aylssa and Mieke Zuiderveen, and Hannah and Evan Crane. The family will gather for a private celebration of her life at a later date.
