Whitehead, Michelle D. Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 after testing positive for COVID-19. Michelle was born September 16, 1963 in Kalamazoo to the daughter of Harvey and Kaye (Mikle) Whitehead. Michelle earned her Master Gardener Certification from Michigan State University Extension and worked for local nurseries; she always had the nicest yard on the block. She was also a certified phlebotomist and massage therapist, always having compassion and empathy for others. She loved gardening, bird watching, taking trips to South Haven on Lake Michigan, painting, shopping, and spending time with her sister and two daughters. Her laugh was infectious and her ability to give selflessly was unmatched. Michelle put others before herself and made friends with everyone she met. She will be missed dearly. Michelle is survived by her daughters, Dana Wood and Leighann Wood; and her sister, Pam Heckelman. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
