Obituary
Died peacefully Saturday afternoon, February 23, 2008 at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born June 3, 1950 in Wyandotte, son of Anna May (Tucker) Geniac of Trenton and the late Robert F. Geniac. He was a 1968 graduate of Trenton High School, attended Ferris State University and spent his adult life in Southwestern Michigan. Mike was a licensed electrician and had owned and operated MG Electric. He was an adventurous individual with a great love of sailing, a proud father, and a lover of life. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his two sons; Samuel and Patrick Geniac, his brothers and sisters; Timothy (Irene) Geniac, Karen (Tom) Kearns, Robert L. (Pamela) Geniac, Ruth Geniac (Roy Matthews), Jeffery Geniac, Judy Geniac (Ronnie Walls) and Joan (Mark) Nice. Also surviving are his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with Michael's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will take place Saturday, March 8, 2008 at time and place to be announced on the funeral home website. There are no other services or visitation hours scheduled at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Autism Society of America.
