Michael Gates, Sr.

Gates, Sr., Michael 8/29/1954 - 3/5/2019 Tekonsha Age 64, of Tekonsha, formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2019, following a long illness. Mike was born in Kalamazoo on August 29, 1954, the son of Joseph Gates Sr. and Patricia Martin, who survive him. He loved motorcycles and had been involved in many clubs. He is survived by his wife, Ginger; sons, Michael, David and Bobby; a daughter, Stacey (Russell) Weller; and half-brother, Steven (Karen) Gates. Preceding him in death were three brothers David, Mark, and Joseph Gates; a nephew, Joseph Gates IV; his step-mother, Janet Gates; and his step-father, Emmitt Martin. A gathering has taken place at his mother's home.
