Michael F. Rafferty

Michael F. Rafferty, age 60 of Kalamazoo, died at Rose Arbor Hospice on March 7, 2020. He was born April 17, 1959, in Kalamazoo, the son of Joseph and Florence (Oly) Rafferty. Mike graduated from Loy Norrix High School. He loved his time working for the Kalamazoo Kings and was known by many who attended the games. Mike was a longtime resident of the Skyrise in Kalamazoo. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish. During his time in Portage, he began attending Kalamazoo First Assembly of God, where he was involved in many activities. Mike was a kind and gentle man and enjoyed the many friends and family who surrounded him. His family includes his brothers: Robert (Kay) Rafferty and James (Cherri) Rafferty and his nieces: Jennifer (Jeff), Kimberly (Josh), and Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles. Friends may visit with Mike's family on Thursday, March 19, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, Kalamazoo, where a Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, with Msgr. Michael Hazard and Father Antony Rajesh presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to a charity of your choice.
