Melissa Jeanne Milas

Melissa Jeanne Milas, 29, of Vicksburg, a devoted fiancée, mother and homemaker passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Bronson Hospital. Until her last breath, Melissa's life was devoted to her children Marissa, Makyla, Jeffrey and Jayden and to her fiancé Jeffrey Maldonado. Always a "people person," Melissa was dedicated to her family and friends. She was an outspoken individual and did not shy a way from being a bit of a "drama queen." Melissa volunteered at her children's school and enjoyed MySpace, clothes, and was known for being thrifty.

Surviving in addition to her children and fiancé are her mother and stepfather, Myra and Darrell Busscher of Battle Creek; her father, Michael Milas of Chicago; her sister, Michelle Lynn Colwell and her children Robert, Jacob, and Jestin of Battle Creek; her maternal grandmother, Kate Milas of Chicago; and her stepgrandmother, Mary Lou Busscher of Battle Creek. She also leaves her stepbrothers, Buzz Busscher and Jim Morrow and stepsister Nicki (Chad) Ambler all of Marshall.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Royal Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2007 at Royal Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hicks Cemetery.
