Maurice Heck, age 82, of Bentheim, put up a valiant fight but lost the battle and entered into Glory, Monday, October 20, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Heck, in 1997.
He was a lifelong member of Bentheim Reformed Church. He worked at GE for 25 years and farmed in Bentheim.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Henriette; children, Karla and Lloyd Pippel, Kristi Schaap, Bob Heck, Pamela Payne, Mike and Randy De Neff, Denise and Cal Wolters, Lynae Heck, Kandace Heck, Jodi Heck and John Neil; 11 grandchildren; brother, Julius and Henrietta Heck; in-laws, Johanna Berens, Ada and Merle Lampen, Emma Barkel, Hermina Veldhoff.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday at Bentheim Reformed Church with Reverend Roger Vander Kolk officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State St., Zeeland and Friday at the church from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Bentheimer’s International Society.
