Mary Shaw

Shaw, Mary 8/20/1929 - 2/11/2023 Richland Mary A. Shaw, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023. Mary was born August 20, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Elmer and Laura Daniels. She married the love of her life Charles Shaw on July 1st 1950. Mary leaves behind her children Charlie (Phyllis) Shaw, Cathy Lambeth, Laurie (Scott) Alexander and Patty Shaw; six grandchildren, Dustin, Katie, Danny, David, Joel, Lisa and their spouses; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Chuck, her son-in-law Michael Lambeth, her parents and siblings. Mary and Chuck were inseparable up until his death in 2018. In their earlier years they worked on many projects together; built houses, traveled, raised many pets, and especially enjoyed winters at Myrtle Beach. Mary was known for keeping busy and never left anything undone. She liked watching sports on TV and CNN. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at her home on Gull Lake. The family would like to thank the staff at Centrica Hospice who went above and beyond to provide loving care to both Mary and her family. The family would also like to thank Carelink and the amazing staff at Kauhale Otsego. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Yorkville Cemetery at a later date.
