Mary Ryan

Died Saturday morning September 28, 2019 at her residence. Mary was born June 20, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of Roland and Mary (Heatherly) Helmick. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1969, coming from Chicago, IL. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis P. Ryan on August 21, 2007; a grandson, James Arnold; 2 brothers; and a sister. She is survived by 7 children, John (Sue) Ryan of Kalamazoo, Mary (Jack) Skolasky of Mattawan, Joan (Christopher) Bowers of St. Louis. MO, Peggy (Joseph) Hoyle of Kalamazoo, Nancy (Bob) Bolhuis of Gobles, Michael (Joanne) Ryan of Atlanta, GA, and Patrick (Mary) Ryan of Poulsbo, WA; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday, October 4th from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday at the chapel. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Luke's Diaper Bank.
