Mary McIntosh

Mary Lois McIntosh (Hubbart), 95, resident of Portage, MI, passed away peacefully with family members at her side on Saturday, April 30, in Des Plaines, IL. Born April 21, 1927, in Decatur Illinois to Richard and Mary Hubbart, Mary moved to Detroit and married Kenneth McIntosh in 1952. She graduated from Wayne University and U of M with BA and MS in Education, and Wayne State with a degree in Social Work. Mary loved reading, writing, gardening, and family. Preceded in Death by Kenneth McIntosh (4/11/2012). Survived by children Marilyn (Tom), Paul, David (Terri), and Richard (Linda), along with grandchildren Damon, Colin, Jenny, Julia, Ryan, Kelleigh, Kaylyn, Ian, and Great Grandmother of ten. Family was most important to Mary, and she connected with each in special ways that will carry on for generations.
