Mary Gucma

Mary June Gucma of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday November 18, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital. Mary was born December 4, 1942 in Kalamazoo the daughter of June and Kathryn (Grace) Geiger. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Augustine High School and retired from Wellsaw on December 5, 2019 after 38 incredible years as Office Manager. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, light gardening and playing many varieties of games. On September 10, 1962 in Kalamazoo Mary was united in marriage to John Thomas Gucma who preceded her in death on April 3, 1995. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, James, Richard, Donald Geiger; sister, Jackie McMahon. Surviving are three children, Karen Gucma, Tom (Karen) Gucma, James (Rhonda) Gucma; several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church where visitation will be an hour prior at church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association or the American Heart Association.
