Mary Gardner

Mary A. 2/26/1952 - 4/6/2022 Kalamazoo Age 70, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence (Gernaat) Cramer. Mary remained a lifelong resident and was always proud to call Kalamazoo her home. She had a kind smile, giving personality and was a joy to know. She worked hard to provide a happy home for her family where all were made to feel welcome. Mary loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and spending time on the water. She was an accomplished gardener who always found peace and comfort amongst her flowers. Like all of us Mary's life was not without difficulties which she faced with courage and humility. She was an 18-year member of NA and helped countless others during her involvement there. Above all Mary loved her children and grandchildren and leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. On October 8, 1971, she married the love of her life, Ray Gardner who survives. She is also survived by two children, Chad (Melinda) Gardner, Renee (Gary) Acker; two grandchildren, Nicholas Gardner and Daniel Burton; a brother, David (Kathleen) Cramer; many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial visitation to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park on Friday, April 15, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Bronson Cancer Center or Centrica Care Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
