Mary Bourgeois

Bourgeois, Mary L. Kalamazoo Passed away March 6, 2022 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Mary was born in Kalamazoo on July 31, 1933, the daughter of J. Kenneth and Doris (Cretsinger) Menzie. She was a homemaker and also brought her exceptional organizational talents to employment with Filter Fabricators and the American Red Cross. She was a charter member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Edward F. Bourgeois Jr. on July 16, 2021. Mary is survived by her children: Stephanie & Charlie Tackett of Kalamazoo, Peter & Chris Bourgeois of Kalamazoo, Sherry & Derrick Stevens of Denver CO, Tim & Peggy Bourgeois of Parchment, Ann & Michael Sanders of Lansing, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother John Menzie of Harbor Springs, sister Anne Mulligan of Los Angeles, many nieces & nephews. Friends will be received Sunday March 13, 2022 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G Ave and also March 14, 2022 from 9 until 10am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church where Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Fr. Albert Kemboi celebrant. Internment of cremains will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Centra Care Navigators (formerly Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan) or the Great Lakes Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
