Marvin Myles Jameson, 79, passed away July 23 at his home in Comstock. He was born August 17, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Donald Jameson and Beatrice (Whinnery) Jameson. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. On July 1, 1971 he married his wife, Karen, who survives. Also surviving is his beloved son, John (Michelle); grandsons, John (Ashley), Alexander; two granddaughters, Jordan and Rebecca; as well as two great-grandsons, Alexander, Jr. and Liam Jasper. Marv was a printer by trade and owned several Minit Print stores. He decided he wanted to teach, sold the stores and went to Western Michigan University, where he graduated in 1971. He became a special education teacher and worked for Comstock Public Schools for 22 years before retiring. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Ball Bouncers team. The team enjoyed traveling the U.S. entering the state and national tournaments. Marv volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America becoming a den leader to his son's pack. He also cooked for Camp Roto Kiwan and was a district commissioner. Fishing was his passion and that love is passed on to his son and grandsons. His family was his joy and he enjoyed spending time with them on family vacations and weekly dinners. There will be no public visitation or service. A private family service will be held.
