Passed away Thursday August 10, 2023 at her home. Martha was born March 14, 1954 in Harlingen, TX the daughter of Glen and Joan (Price) Laymon. She enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling and reading. Martha loved spending time and being with her family and her church family. She especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
On November 2, 1974 Martha was united in marriage to her loving husband, Marshall Peterson, who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Jessica Sager, Julie (Doug) Lawrence; 5 grandchildren Conner Peterson, Alexander Sager, Olivia Sager, Jayden Lawrence, Braysen Lawrence; brothers, Harold Laymon, Rusty Laymon; sister-in-law, Dee Laymon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Bill and Tony. Friends may meet the family from 5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday August 16, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, August 17. A light reception will follow the service and interment will be in Schoolcraft Cemetery.
