Martha Miller

Miller, Martha Rose Of Portage, MI Martha (Marty) Rose Miller, age 77 of Portage, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday afternoon, February 27, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Audrey Whipple. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth S. Whipple. Marty is survived by her devoted, loving husband of 41 years, Bill Miller. They met by chance and have been madly in love ever since they locked eyes that special day. Marty and Bill successfully ran three of their own businesses in the Portage area. She worked as a cosmetologist who owned and operated her own salon, Classic Cuts, for many years, which opened in 1978. She is also survived by her sister Beth (Al) Kelley, four children, Debbie (Jim) Stump, Mike (Linda) McNaughton, Pat McNaughton and April Martin, five stepchildren, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff and care team at Senior Care Partners PACE and Heartland Hospice for invaluable care she received. There will be no funeral at this time. She will be buried with her husband upon his passing at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Senior Care Partners PACE.
