Martha E. "Marty" Frame, age 62, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday afternoon, June 20, 2017 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence surrounded by family and friends. Born on October 7, 1954, in Shelby, MI, she was the daughter of Stanley and Marilyn (Fleming) Brown. On August 26, 1978, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Frame. Marty was employed by Bronson Methodist Hospital for over 40 years as a RN and Case Manager until her retirement in 2016. As a woman of Christ, she was a longtime active member of Trinity Reformed Church for many years and enjoyed participating in the bell choir. In 2014, Marty joined Calvary Reformed Church in Mattawan where she enjoyed volunteering. Marty was also active for years in Community Bible Study, where she grew spiritually. Marty and Ken loved traveling and going on long walks. She enjoyed gardening and reading, but most of all, Marty loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Ken Frame; four children: Bret Frame of Mattawan, Amy (Charlie) Zanayed of Antigo, WI; Gina (Randy) Munn of Paw Paw and Melissa (Doug) Vrba of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren: Dustin Nehls, Joe and Lauren Stephens, Madison and Jacob Vrba and Josh, Hannah and Clara Zanayed; mother: Marilyn Brown of Shelby, MI; sister: Linda Myers of Marion, IN; two brothers: James (Karen) Brown of Shelby, MI and Philip Brown of Muskegon, MI. Preceding her in death was her father: Stanley Brown in 2012 and sister: Nancy Brown in 1970. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 22, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A funeral service to celebrate Marty's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 23, at Calvary Reformed Church, 7829 5th Street, Mattawan. Pastor Greg Van Heukelom will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
