Marlene Robbert

Marlene Robbert, 87, of Kalamazoo, lost her battle with cancer on June 24, 2021. Surrounded by her loving family, she left to be with the Lord. She was born with her twin sister December 3, 1933 in Kobe, Japan and the daughter of Bruno and Regina Bruns. She was raised by her mom and step-dad Roysie Bornn in St. Thomas VI. She was a RN and DON for many of the nursing homes in the Kalamazoo area and retired in 1995 after many years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents and step-dad, her brother Leonard, and twin sister Marjorie Schilling. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Wendy), Diane Montz (Clayton), David, and Doug; very close friends, Mark Morrissey and Peggy Matthes; 6 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Prairie Edge Christian Reform Church, 9316 Oakland Dr. Portage, MI on July 24, 2021 at 11am. Burial will take place at a future date at Fort Custer cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice Care of SW Michigan.
