Marion Wijnberg

Wijnberg, Marion H 12/26/1928 - 5/8/2022 Kalamazoo, MI Marion Holley Wijnberg passed away May 8, 2022 at Park Village Pines Assisted Living in Kalamazoo, MI Marion was born on December 26, 1928, in New York City, the daughter of Ira and Florence Holley. She graduated from Hunter College High School in New York City and received her Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University, Masters and Phd. Degrees from S.U.Y. University in Buffalo, NY in Social Service and Education. She retired from Western Michigan University after serving as a full professor at the School of Social Work. Marion is survived by a daughter, Deb Wijnberg (Tom Izaquirre) of New Jersey, a son, Jonathan Wijnberg of Kalamazoo and a granddaughter, Mia Holly Izaquirre of New Jersey. Many thanks to Ingrid Ramierz who was her care giving assistant for many years. Cremation has taken place serviced by Simply Cremation in Grand Rapids, MI. At Marion's request memorial donations should be made to the Congregation of Moses in Kalamazoo, MI. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
