Age 94, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, with her loving family at her side. Marion was born in Kalamazoo on March 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Carl and Bertha (Vliek) Wiessner. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central, a member of the January class of 1943. On September 9, 1947, Marion married the love of her life, Stanley Louis, who preceded her in passing on March 11, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Klimp on December 12, 2012. Marion was kind, gentle, and a true joy to be around. She had a great smile and made everyone feel welcomed. Marion was a hard worker who retired from the John Louis Delivery Company. When not working she enjoyed knitting, quilting, counted cross stitch, baking, and cooking for family meals. Marion was quick to get involved and was a member of the Song Birds (Red Hat Society) and a former member of Fourth Reformed Church. She also volunteered her time at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo for many years. Stan and Marion introduced "Christmas Card Lane" to the Westwood neighborhood. Marion enjoyed having her family over for Sunday dinners and making dozens of cookies at Christmas time with her grandchildren. She loved her family and leaves them with many special memories. Marion leaves to cherish those memories a son, Michael Louis; son-in-law, John Klimp; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Blain, Jessica (Rodney) Thom, John (Jonica) Klimp, Julia (Ryan) Scheffers and Joshua Klimp; twelve great-grandchildren; special friend, Lorraine Vlietstra; many nieces, nephews, and great friends. She was also preceded in passing by three brothers, Fred (Angie), Bill (Barbara) and Bob (Grace) Wiessner. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd., Kalamazoo, MI 49006, with Pastor Dan Jongsma officiating. Private interment will be at Mt.
