Marilyn Stadt

Marilyn, age 88, died Friday morning, January 11, 2019 at Kairos Dwelling Home (hospice care), Kalamazoo, MI with her loving family at her side.

Marilyn, the daughter of Rev. Peter and Alice (Dalman) Vogel, was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 3, 1930; was a Lee High School graduate, and moved to Gull Lake in 2000. A social and welcoming person, Marilyn became a co-founder of the Gull Lake Ladies' Days Conference and was actively involved for 23 years. She delighted in entertaining her friends and family, was a gracious host, and her grandchildren will miss her yummy goodies.

Marilyn was united in marriage to the ""Love of her life,"" Bernard Jay Stadt in Grand Rapids on January 14, 1949. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Bernard; two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Visser of Rockford and Peggy Weigle of Kalamazoo; her son, Tom (Mary) Stadt of August, MI; eight precious grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jodi Visser and her sister, Vivian Conner.

A Remembrance Gathering to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held on Saturday, January 19th at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline Avenue, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Final interment is held with family at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with Rev. Don Hescott. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Gull Lake Ministries Ladies Day's, 1800 Burlington, Hickory Corners, MI 49060, Kairos Dwelling Home, 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 or Calvary Church (see address above).
