Marian Starbuck

Marian H. Starbuck, age 95, passed away August 9, 2019 at Friendship Village in Kalamazoo, MI. Marian was born October 6, 1923 in South Bend, IN, the daughter of the late Glenn and Marion (Stuart) Hall. She was a Kalamazoo resident since 1952, received her Bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College and had worked as a social worker for several years. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Miriam Circle and past president of United Methodist Women. Also was member of Emeritus Club, Women's Council and Alumni Club at Kalamazoo College, member and past president of Ladies Library Association, member and past president of Lawyers Auxiliary, and a 25 year volunteer at Bronson Methodist Hospital. On September 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Starbuck, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2000. Surviving are her two sons Jeffry (Michelle) Starbuck and John (Monica) Starbuck; grandchildren Jillian (Chris) Klosowski, Jared Starbuck; step grandchildren Blake (Chelsie) Miracle, Brenden Miracle, and several great-grandchildren. In accordance with Marian's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with burial with her husband at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
