BOUMA - Marian (Koster) Bouma, aged 75, graduated to the church triumphant on January 8, passing peacefully with her daughters at her side. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Norman; and her children and grandchildren, Rich and Laurie (Alexandra and Christina); Randy and Jan (Brian and Angie), Holwerda (Ethan, Paige, Kylee), Eric and Denise Millhoupt (Cory and Emma), Kurt, Kate and Brett Wustman (Greysen); Gayla and Gary Postma (Mike, Dan and Mira, Steven); Linda Rothenthaler, Carl Rothenthaler (Renae, Ryan, Russ, Rob, and Rachel). She is survived by her siblings, Jean and Bob Schepers, Rob and Julia Koster, Shirley and David Dornbos, Ed and Joyce Koster, Virginia and William Dykstra. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lois Bouma, Gesena and Jay Groenendyk, Wilhelmina Bouma, Kellie Bouma, Marilyn and George Vegter, Bob Bouma, Percy Bouma, Ruth Bouma, Mary Beth and Manny Matos. She was predeceased by sister-in-law, Connie Brink; and brothers-in-law, John, Gord, Don, Jim, and Paul Bouma. She was well loved by many nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank in particular oncologist, Dr. Mark Campbell and oncology nurse practitioner, Wendy Koopmans and the rest of the staff at the Cancer and Hematology Center of West Michigan, Faith Hospice nurse Julie Chledowski, the staff at Trillium Woods and those who made Trillium Woods possible. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the South Christian High School Foundation or God's Kitchen. A service of celebration and memorial of the life of Marian Bouma will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 11, at LaGrave Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Ave. SE, Grand Rapids.
