Maria B. Saldivar, age 83, was born on September 3, 1941, in Cruillas, Tamaulipas, Mexico and passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
She was the beloved wife of Jose P. Saldivar for 57 years; loving mother of Jose (Nicole) Saldivar Jr.; proud grandmother of Stephen (Gretchen), Joey (Emily), Vincent, Francesca, and Gia; and cherished great-grandmother of Sunny Lynn and Eva Maria Saldivar. Maria was a longtime Kalamazoo resident, having lived there for nearly 50 years. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI, with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
A second visitation will take place Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Rd., Shelby Township, MI, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.
