Margo Lynn Brundage of Portage, Michigan, passed away at the age of 77 on Sunday August 20, 2023, at Centrica Care Navigators Rose Arbor of Kalamazoo surrounded by family. Margo was born on December 18, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Richard and Betty (Bayley) McIntyre. She graduated from Portage High School in 1964 where she thrived in the Arts as a thespian in her High School plays as well as locally at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. After graduation, she attended courses at Western Michigan University and during this time she met the love of her life, Frederick Ward Brundage. The two married on October 15, 1966, and started a family and built a life together. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Margo loved her family with all of her heart and soul. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for her husband, children and grandchildren. Margo dedicated her life to her family and would focus on each of their daily lives and activities, often talking with each of them for hours on end, making them all feel uniquely special and enormously loved. One of many ways Margo made people feel special was by feeding them with her delicious cooking. Her meals were always savored, raved about, and a challenge to replicate making them a highlight in her family and friends' lives. As impressive as her cooking was, she was an even more accomplished baker. Margo prided herself on her baking with no recipe appearing too complicated for her to master. She loved to spend time in the kitchen teaching her grandchildren her skills. Margo had a very special spot in her heart for all children and would ceaselessly advocate for them. Aside from spending time with her family, Margo loved to relax by visiting the shores of Lake Michigan and boating around the beautiful lakes in Michigan. It is in these moments where she found her connection to peace. In addition, Margo was an impressive seamstress and enjoyed knitting in her solitude and would surprise her loved ones with her end pieces as gifts. Surviving Margo is her husband, Frederick Ward Brundage; children, Benson (Heather) Brundage, Whitney (Bryan) Talaga; grandchildren, Weston Brundage, Lila Brundage, Charlie Talaga, Phoebe Talaga, Piper Talaga and sister, Traci (John) Persky. She is preceded in passing by her parents, and her brother Richard S. (Paula) McIntyre. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a Private Celebration of her life at a later date.
