Margaret Elizabeth (Barry) Margaret was born November 19, 1929, in Oak Park, IL, and died at peace on Sunday morning, November 17, 2019 at her home in Waterford Place in Jenison, MI. Margaret was born November 19, 1929, in Oak Park, IL, and died at peace on Sunday morning, November 17, 2019 at her home in Waterford Place in Jenison, MI. Margaret was a graduate of Trinity High School, River Forest, IL, Western Michigan University (WMU), Kalamazoo (Bachelor of Business Administration - at the age of 52!), and the American College of Insurance (Chartered Financial Consultant). In the years before marriage, Margaret began her work life in Chicago as an employee for three organizations: Encyclopedia Britannica, Liberty Mutual Insurance and American Family Magazine. On August 23, 1952, Margaret married John H. ("Jack") Kehoe, formerly of Menominee, MI. They moved to Kalamazoo County in 1953, living in Milwood, Cooper Township, and the Arcadia and West Main areas of Kalamazoo, before relocating to Naples, Florida in 2002. Margaret returned to Michigan in 2012 and lived in Friendship Village in Kalamazoo until November, 2018, when she moved to Waterford Place in Jenison MI. After many years at home with her nine children, Margaret returned to her education and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from WMU, then began her business activities in the family business as VP/Secretary of the Kehoe-Nedrud Insurance Agency. She also served on the faculty of the Business College at Western Michigan University. Margaret regularly contributed to her community with roles as a member and an officer in Kalamazoo Church Women United, Finance Committee member at St. Thomas More parish, Kalamazoo Community Chorale member, several school district committees, and textbook reader for blind students at WMU. In her years in Naples, Margaret stayed active as a member of the St. Ann's parish choir, Naples Church Women United, and as a volunteer at The Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Margaret will be joining many family members in heaven, including her husband, John H. ("Jack") Kehoe, her daughter Barbara of Sedro Woolley, WA, her parents Frank & Irene Barry of River Forest, IL, her brother Dr. James Barry and his wife Mary Anne of Chicago, IL, her daughter-in-law Laura Kehoe (Mrs. Donald Kehoe), and her grandson Alexander P. Kehoe (son of Donald & Laura), both of Sacramento, CA. Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses, 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Jack and Margaret's children are Irene Walela (Ken) of Sacramento, CA, Philip (Bernice) of Kalamazoo, Ellen of Shepherd, MI, Donald (Lynda) of Sacramento, CA, Stephen (Linda) of Darien, IL, Clare (Chihchung) of San Francisco, CA, Paul (Nicole) of Grandville, MI and Edward (Lori) of Kalamazoo. In accordance with Margaret's wishes, her body was cremated and ashes will be spread next to the burial place of her husband at the Garden of St. Joachim Chapel, St. Ann's Parish in Naples, FL. A memorial mass will be said for Margaret at St. Ann's on a December date to be determined. Also, Margaret's memorial service and reception is planned for December 14, 2019 at St. Thomas More at 421 Monroe St in Kalamazoo. Visitation will be at 10:00am with her memorial service at 11:00am, and a reception following immediately afterwards at St. Thomas More. In lieu of flowers, Margaret suggests memorial contributions may be made to Conservancy of Southwest Florida in Naples, FL, Pretty Lake Vacation Camp in Mattawan, MI or the
