Passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon June 17, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born on September 28, 1941, Meg was the second of four daughters born to Elmer and Muriel Bigler. Her early years were spent tending to chores on the family's centennial farm in Greenville, Michigan. After graduating from Greenville High School and Ferris State College, in 1962 she married Gerald Christensen and in subsequent years balanced motherhood and career. She relished motherhood and provided a stable and loving home for her family. Her talents with needle and thread & gardening provided extra income along with great enjoyment and satisfaction. A spiritual rebirth in 1996 prompted Meg, with quiet strength and determination, to live her life with an unwavering commitment to personal growth and service to others. A devoted friend, mother and grandmother, Meg was cherished by many and will be held in the hearts and memories of those that loved her. She is survived by her son, Steven James (Novi, Michigan), daughter-in-law, Lisa and their children, Ella, Ryan and David; daughter, Beth Marie (Tampa, Florida) and her children, Savanah and Grace; and sisters, Madelyn Corbett and Cathy Krick. A celebration of Meg's life will be announced at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Please visit Meg's personalized webpage for online guestbook or to leave a condolence. Meg's children would like to express their gratitude to her many friends who graciously gave their love, comfort and friendship.
