Margaret passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

She was born November 28, 1924 in Battle Creek to Reginald and Catherine Leitch.

She attended the University of Michigan until polio prevented her from achieving her degree, though she continued to be a true-blue (and gold) fan forever.

Margaret married Donald Linn in 1950 and together raised five children in a home where their Catholic faith was strong and where friends and activities centered on their church community.

Margaret worked for St. Lawrence Hospital for 19 years and volunteered as a member of the Mercy League following retirement. She loved to knit and comforted many with her beautiful creations. Margaret and Don valued service to others and especially enjoyed working with Capital Area Interfaith Respite (C.A.I.R.). Their last acts of selfless giving are participating in MSU's Willed Body Program.

Margaret was predeceased by Don who died April 13, 2005 and by three of her four siblings (Dr. Robert, Donald and Hugh Leitch).

She leaves behind her loving family including children, James (Kathryn Ossian) of Pleasant Ridge, MI; John (Rita) of Jamestown, NC; Jane (David Kubicek) of West Bloomfield, MI; Janet of Houston, TX; and Joseph of Lansing. Grandchildren, Rick (Stephanie) Banghart-Linn; Jeremiah (Emma), Jeffrey, Christina, Teresa, Alicia and Matthew Linn; Meredith (Jon) Sommers and Joseph Kubicek. Two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Owen Linn. Also surviving are Margaret's sister, Mary Christine (Paul R.) Karl; Don's siblings, Robert (Louise) and William (Joyce) Linn and Noreene (George, deceased) Archambeau; foster daughter, Janet (Jeff) Olney; and many nieces, nephews and other special relatives and friends.

Thanks to all who helped Margaret in so many ways, especially the caring staffs at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan and Burcham Hills Health Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's name may be made to C.A.I.R., St. Vincent Home for Children or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, May 11 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. Private family interment will occur at a later date. The family is served by Tiffany Funeral Home, Lansing, MI.
