Marcia Price

Marcia Price went to be with her Lord on June 17, 2019, following complications from a fall. Marcia was born September 3, 1931, the daughter of Edward and Birdie (Hoag) Price. Preceding her in death was a brother Allen Price. She leaves nieces Laura Hilton and family and Rachel Warner and family and many friends to cherish her memory. Marcia graduated from WMU in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Marcia retired from K-College with 41 years as alumni events coordinator in 1995. She processed many graduates through her many years at K-College. She was a lifelong member of Church of God. From Rose Street, to Westwood, and finally at Centre Avenue Church of God. Marcia held many positions during her many years at Centre Avenue Church of God, Secretary of Church Council of the Association, Committee Chairperson of Historical, Memorial, Missionary Society Women's Group, Pray Chains, and many pulpit committees. Her biggest lifelong commitment was sending church bulletins to all members missing a Sunday services either on vacation, under the weather, or if they moved away. Always keeping everyone up to date. Marcia fed many friends from her garden. She shucked many black walnuts that she gathered in their yard. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Centre Avenue Church of God, 1917 E. Centre Ave., Portage, MI. Memorials may be directed to Centre Avenue Church of God.
