Mali Finn, Emmy-award winning casting director for: "Titanic," "L.A. Confidential," "Terminator 2," "8 Mile," "The Matrix," and 80 other films, died of melanoma on November 28, 2007 in Sonoma, California. She was 69. Mali taught at Holland High and Hope College, living in Holland from 1967-80. James Cameron wrote at the opening of "Titanic," "You have the nose of a bloodhound for finding talent." She is survived by husband, Donn; son, David; her mother, brother, sister and two grandchildren. A private memorial service is being held this weekend in Macatawa.
