Mae Mast, 90, of Dren-the, went home to Heaven on Wednesday May 23, 2012.

Mae was born February 13, 1922, to Henry and Hat-tie E. ( Brouwer) Mast in Drenthe. Mae graduated from Reformed Bible Insti-tute and Blodgett Hospital Nursing School. Mae la-bored as a missionary nurse in Sudan United Mission Nigeria in West Africa for the CRC Board of World Missions from 1954-1979. Upon returning to West Michigan, Mae worked for 18 years for Providence Healthcare in Zeeland (Ha-ven Park) until retiring in 1997. Mae was a lifelong and active member of Dren-the CRC where she served in the Ladies Aid Society, Bible Studies, and Sunday School. Mae served as a volunteer for Forgotten Man Minis-tries, Zeeland Community Hospital-Sunshine Corner, Zeeland Adult Education and Right to Life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hat-tie Mast; her brother and his wife, Rufus and Gerri Mast.

She is survived by her siblings, Evelyn Peterman, of Muskegon, Harold and Joyce Mast, of Zeeland, Er-win and Alnora Mast, of Zeeland, Junior and Myra Mast, of Drenthe; several nieces, nephews and cous-ins.

Funeral services to honor the faith and life of Mae Mast will be 11 a.m. Satur-day, May 26, 2012, at Dren-the Christian Reformed Church, 6344 Adams St., Zeeland. Rev. Aaron Grey-danus will officiate. Visit-ing hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland. Burial will be in West Drenthe Cem-etery. Memorials to CRC World Missions.
