Lynn Dragoo

Lynn Ann Dragoo (Barringer) of Portage, MI passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo Lynn was born in Vicksburg on February 13, 1948, the only child of Richard and Betty Barringer. As a child growing up on V Avenue Lynn was your typical tomboy, wearing cowboy boots and putting frogs in her pockets for safe keeping. In April,1958 she began racing on the first quarter midget track in the state of Michigan at Barton Lake. She attended Vicksburg Community Schools and graduated from Vicksburg High School with the class of 1966. On November 24, 1972 she married John L. Dragoo and together they raised two daughters. Lynn was an excellent homemaker, and later in life she worked outside the home, retiring in 2000 from Plastics Engineering, Inc. in Portage. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and gambling at the local casinos. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Richard "Dick" and Betty Barringer. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John; daughters, Heather L. Dragoo and Heidi L. Dragoo; grandchildren, Madison L. Kline, Keegan J. Dahl and Hayden L. Trowbridge. At her request cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. Donations may go to the American Cancer Society or Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.
