Lottie Margaret (Ritchie) Burns

BURNS, LOTTIE Mrs. Lottie Margaret Burns (Ritchie), age 88, of Grand Rapids, entered eternal life Sunday July 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Mike; son David; her parents Elmer and Nora Hoffman. Surviving are her four sons: Michael, Thomas, Steve (Judy) and Kevin Burns; grandchildren Randy, Faith Marie, Anthony (Amanda) Burns, Stephanie (Bob) Tromp and Jacqueline (Ted) Wagner; several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; in-laws: Frank (Mary Catherine) Burns, Jim (Lorraine) Burns, Mary Ann Brouwer and Teresa Burns; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Donna Stryker. She was a graduate of Godwin Heights High School. Lottie enjoyed taking the bus downtown with her girlfriends and met her future husband Michael at the Diesel Equipment Plant. Her friends and she cut a demo record together in the generation's music. She enjoyed watching Green Valley Jamboree and more recently watched all the old movies on cable and watching the new talent type shows. Lottie became an accomplished home decorator in the traditional style. The funeral and committal service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers, Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance NW. Memorial contributions to Sanctuary at St. Mary's will be appreciated.
