Lori Powers

Powers, Lori Plainwell, MI Lori Ann Powers, of Plainwell, MI suddenly passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the age of 64. Lori was born on August 14, 1958 in Kalamazoo, MI. She went through Portage schools and graduated from Portage Central High School with the Class of 1976. While in high school Lori ran on the Portage Central track team. She graduated from Aquinas College with a Master's Degree. For a period of time, Lori was a dedicated teacher with the Kalamazoo Public Schools. Most recently she was consistently a top performer as a realtor with Midwest Properties ERA Powered. Lori was an amazing cook and made every meal an experience and from the heart. Her family will remember her infectious laugh, being quick witted, she loved her sons, was very strong and a great leader, driven, and she always rose above with her never-ending wisdom. Lori is survived by her three children: Jordan (Dana Smith) Knobloch, of Plainwell; Taylan (Kim) Knobloch, of Germany; Harper (Alisha Smith) Knobloch, of Plainwell; six grandchildren: Kain, Kaiser, Eleanor, Nico, Emmarie, and Thatcher; foreign exchange children: Annette Henricksen, of Denmark; Karl Bachmann, of Germany; Christine Perkonigg, of Austria; and numerous siblings and nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son Aubrey Knobloch and her parents. Lori has been cremated a celebration of life memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 4pm at the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Home, Plainwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2pm until the time of the service.
