Loretta Moore, age 86, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026.

She was born on October 6, 1939, in Kalamazoo to Adrian Van Kestern and Lena (Tanis) Van Kestern. On June 16, 1961, she married the love of her life, Edward Moore. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service, sharing more than six decades of love and devotion.

Loretta attended Delta College and dedicated her career as a finance clerk for the City of Midland, where she was respected for her integrity, commitment, and strong work ethic.

Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life. A faithful servant of the Lord, Loretta was deeply involved in her church throughout the years, serving others with kindness, compassion, and humility. Her unwavering faith touched the lives of many and remained a guiding light in everything she did.

Above all, Loretta cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will be held close for generations. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister, proud grandmother, faithful friend, and a woman whose life reflected grace, generosity, and steadfast faith

Loretta is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Edgar Moore; her sons, Jonathan Moore and Stephen (Nadean) Moore; her cherished grandchildren, Kiely, Jacob, and Samantha; her sisters, Ellen (Harold) Grevenstuk and Norene (Roger) Russ; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian Van Kestern and Lena (Tanis) Van Kestern, and her sister, Gail Van Kestern.

A memorial service celebrating Loretta's life will be held at Hope Church, 910 Jenks Boulevard, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49006, at 11:00 a.m.

Loretta's legacy of love, unwavering faith, and selfless service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
