Lloyd passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born August 16, 1949 in Kalamazoo, the son of Garlef "Pat" and Beryl (Prosser) Sutton. As a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area, Lloyd graduated from Mattawan High School in 1967. He was employed by Maro Inc. in Schoolcraft for 20 years as plant superintendant until 1990, when he founded and was CEO of Craft Precision Inc. in Schoolcraft. He was a hard worker and well-known and respected businessman who loved to travel. Lloyd was a fighter who was very generous, loving, had strong opinions and stood by his beliefs. He loved jokes, laughter and making others laugh too. Lloyd loved life and living on Indian Lake, boating and spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs. On April 30, 2000, he was united in marriage to Teri Weese, who survives. Together, Lloyd and Teri shared the happiest years of their lives. Also surviving are his three children, Cheri Swee of Lawton, Steven (Amy) Sutton of Schoolcraft, and Jenny (Steve) Taylor of Schoolcraft; ten grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Shelby, Kylee, Abby, Cade, Ashley, Scott, Amanda and Alexis; three great grandchildren, Isabella, Brookelynne and Landon; brother, Gordon Sutton of Schoolcraft; sister, Sondra Sutton of Bothell, WA; mother and father-in-law, Lee and Bert Weese of Kalamazoo; two brothers-in-law, Matthew (Linda) Weese of Woodbridge, VA and Anthony Weese of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law, Christine (John) Paver of Comstock and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. The world is a better place having him in it and he will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him. Memorial services for Lloyd will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. Interment will follow in Schoolcraft Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Association.
