Life Story / Obituary
Lloyd John Riemersma, 78, of Holland, died Dec. 6, 2004, at Holland Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a charter member of Rose Park Reformed Church, where he served as a deacon and elder and as a Sunday school teacher. He formerly owned Dynamic Tool and Die in Hudsonville. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in World War II. He also served at a leader for Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pearl; children, Pat and Jan Oosterhouse of Hudsonville, Deb Newhouse of Spring Lake, Judy and Curtis Good of Holland, and Kathy Riemersma of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren; brother, Jerald and Harriet Riemersma of Holland; sister, Nella and Jim Ten Broeke of Hudsonville; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Harvey (Josephine) Boerman of Holland, Mrs. Lawrence (Frances) Lohman of Hamilton, Mrs. Francis (Sophia) Volkers of Wyoming, Louis Van Vels of Zeeland, Mrs. Harold (Hilda) Dekker of Hopkins, and Mrs. Lester (Vi) Dekker of Holland. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose Park Reformed Church, with the Rev. Carl Balk officiating. Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 E. 16th St. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Rose Park Reformed Church or Hospice of Holland.
