Lloyd Gosa, Jr.

Gosa, Lloyd J., Jr. 6/18/1941 - 4/2/2019 Kalamazoo Age 77, passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2019 in Kalamazoo. Lloyd was born on June 18, 1941, the son of Lloyd Judson and Sarah Louise (Kenmore) Gosa, Sr. in Americus, Georgia. After receiving two bachelor's degrees, Lloyd joined the United State Air Force and honorably served our country during the Vietnam War. After he left the Air Force, he earned his Master's Degree in Theology in 1971. On August 15, 1970, he married the love of his life, Stella L. (Bolhuis) and most recently celebrated 48 years of marriage and welcomed their beautiful daughter, Joyann Louise into the world, as well. He retired from UpJohn company as an Antibiotic Researcher after 25 years of service. Family will receive friends on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am., at Northeastern Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. Lloyd will be laid to rest with full military honors on April 10, at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Custer National cemetery in Augusta, MI. Those wishing to attend the committal ceremony are asked to arrive to the cortege area no later than 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, families are encouraged to make memorial contributions to RBM Ministries or Northeastern Baptist Church C/O the funeral home.
