Linda Kay Vlietstra, age 82, of Portage peacefully entered her heavenly home on February 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born April 18, 1941, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Slager) Terpstra.

Linda graduated from Portage Central High School in 1959. She was employed at Upjohn/Pharmacia, where she spent over 23 years, and worked in the Rogaine division. Linda was a devoted member of Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church, where she led the fellowship committee for many years. She also volunteered for many years at Second Impressions. Linda and her husband, Ray, enjoyed camping in their travel trailer. She also loved crafting, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was a kind and loving woman who always had a smile on her face. She was one-of-a-kind and a true example of Christian love.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sarah Terpstra, and sister-in-law, Deborah Terpstra.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ray Vlietstra; children, Kevin (Kim) Vlietstra, Brian (Sarah) Vlietstra, Rhonda (Brian) Gregory, and Cheryl (Andrew) Yonkers; grandchildren: Kyle (Karly), Katelyn, Kaleb, and Kadin Vlietstra; Lukas and Peyton Vlietstra; Brendan and Diana Gregory; and Noah and Lizzie Yonkers; great-grandson, Amos Vlietstra; brothers, Larry Terpstra and Doug (Jan) Terpstra; as well as several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00am at Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church, 9316 Oakland Dr, Portage, Michigan 49024, where family will greet friends from 10-11:00am. A private family graveside will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda's memory may be made to Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church fellowship committee or Kalamazoo Christian Schools.
