LINDA KAY (WEDGE) ERWAY, 73, passed peacefully at home on July 29th, 2021, after a lengthy illness. She was born in 1947 and was part of the Three Rivers Class of 1965. She was born to Gordon Wedge and Jean (Jenks) Wedge who have both preceded her in death. Linda and her husband, Charles Erway, spent most of her life in the Battle Creek area. They were members of the Battle Creek Ski Club. She loved racing and won several events. She had a passion for photography, boating, camping, stamping, and was an avid collector of Tiara Ware. She worked in Battle Creek at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center as a Data Base Administrator from 1984 to 2007 when she retired. Linda mentored elementary children in Math and Reading for ten years through the HOSTS program. (Helping One Student To Succeed) She liked things her way, sometimes going through some one's house and changing subtle little things. Her friends nicknamed her "Linda Herway" as a result. She is survived by her husband of 46 years; A son, Ezra Gray (Chrissy) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a daughter, Laura-lee Wickham of Kalamazoo, Michigan; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Marci Atherley (Patrick), of Las Vegas, Nevada and Judy Grubbs (Larry) of Centreville, Michigan and a brother, Gary Wedge (Tabitha) of Three Rivers, Michigan. In accordance with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral Home in Battle Creek on August 18th from 12:00 to 2:00. Interment to follow at 2:30 at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
