Lee Francis Seguin, age 86, of Portage, MI passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on February 24, 1931 in Buffalo, NY a son of Leo Francis and Mary Lucille (McGlyn) Seguin. Lee graduated from Michigan State University and entered the US Air Force. Lee served on active duty in France and was honorably discharged in 1956. Lee retired from the Upjohn Company where he served as Vice-President and Corporate Controller. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego. Lee volunteered his time at several organizations including; Senior Services of Southwest Michigan as a board member, Treasurer for Plainwell Rotary and volunteered at the Shepherd's Center of Kalamazoo. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Patrick Seguin; a daughter, Diane Marie Seguin; and a daughter-in-law, Marijo Elizabeth Seguin. On April 20, 1963 Lee married Janet Marie Davis who survives. Also surviving are a son, Allan Seguin of Clarkston, MI; a daughter, Carol Marie (Joel) Zielinski of Mattawan, MI; seven grandchildren, Bryan, Nick, Shannon, Jenna, Makenna, Dakota and Tara; two sisters, Ann Hill and Jean Edwards; two brothers, Jack (Karen) Seguin and Jim (Lisa) Seguin; one brother in-law Edward (Marilyn) Davis and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5th from 4-7PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., where a Rosary Service will begin at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, May 6th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave., with Fr. Stan Witek, presider. Lee's family will receive guests at the church beginning at 10AM and a reception will follow the service. Interment in South Portage Cemetery will follow the reception. Memorials in Lee's name may be directed to Senior Services of Southwest Michigan or The Shepherd's Center of Kalamazoo.
