Larua Jacobs

Jacobs, Laura E. Kalamazoo Stepped into her Savior's arms on Wednesday morning, January 13, 2021. Laura was born October 30, 1929 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Charles and Mina (Wilde) Dann. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 13 years in the housekeeping department at Western Michigan University. Laura was an active member of Northeastern Baptist Church, enjoyed doing crafts, and spending time with her family. On September 3, 1988 she was united in marriage to R. Cameron Jacobs who preceded her in death on November 16, 2006. She was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Rebekah Scott Schleger and Jeff Price; sisters and brother, Virginia Root, Devona Kalas, and Kenneth Dann. Laura is survived by her children, Gary (Geneva) Horrocks, Terri (David) Price, Mary (Ken) Brown, Sherry (Mark) Scott, Larry Horrocks; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services were held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private interment was in Bly Cemetery in Marcellus.
