Treur, Larry Jay 81, of Lanesville, died Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home near Lanesville. He was born August 6, 1941, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Abraham and Johanna Veldkamp Treur. He was retired from Residex Corp. in New Jersey, was a part time worker at Squire Boone Caverns near Mauckport, Indiana, and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ken Treur. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ann Dykstra Treur; his daughters, Pamela Jean Klotz (Mark) of Lanesville and Penny Sue Walden (James) of Ashville, Ohio; his son, Bruce Dale Treur (Tammy) of Davenport, Iowa his brother, Robert Treur (Sharon) of Florida; his sisters, Beverly Tencate and Barbara Pawlowski both of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
