Larry Steenbergen

STEENBERGEN - Larry Elliot Steenbergen, age 60, of Grandville, was called to his Heavenly Home after a valiant battle with cancer on Monday, June 7, 2010. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly; father-in-law, Robert Van Drunen; sister-in-law, Jennifer Steenbergen. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in South Korea. He was a dedicated employee of Erhardt Construction since 1971. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Joyce; children, Jeffrey, Andrew and Heather, Abby, and Kyle Steenbergen; grandchildren, Zachary and Phoebe Kopera; Stella, Hunter, and Mya Steenbergen; father and mother, Richard and Marge Steenbergen; mother-in-law, Betty Van Drunen; brothers and sisters, Gregg Steenbergen, Rick and Nancy Steenbergen, Janice Scott, Mark and Kim Steenbergen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob Van Drunen, Bill and Jan Vander Zouwen, Rich Van Drunen, Ron and Anita Van Drunen; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., with Rev. Eildert Zwart officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Kyle and Abby's Education Fund. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
