Obituary
BREUKER (Freemont) - Mr. Larry Lee Breuker, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, August 8, 2010 at Spectrum Health - Gerber Memorial in Fremont. He was born on December 19, 1953 in Fremont, Michigan to Andrew and Marian (Karnemaat) Breuker. Larry was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont where he had been a deacon, elder, and Sunday School teacher. He was the owner of Diversity Signs in Fremont for the past 12 1/2 years. Prior to owning the sign company, Larry had been employed by American Coil Springs in Muskegon for several years as the plant manager, and prior to that he had worked at Howmet in Whitehall for 15 years. Larry was a former Fremont Chamber of Commerce Board member, and he was currently a Fremont City Councilman. On September 20, 1974 he married Laurel "Laurie" Knoll and she survives him along with three children, Melissa (Matthew) Painter of Newaygo, Kevin (Stephanie) Breuker of Traverse City, Jennifer (Scott) Dykstra of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Noah and Grace Painter, Sierra, Lesli, and Isaac Breuker, Annabelle and Alyssa Dykstra; his parents, Andrew and Marian Breuker of Fremont; seven brothers and sisters, Dale (Pam) Breuker of Fremont, Phil (Jodi) Breuker of Grand Haven, Mary Jane (Ron) Baylor of Kalamazoo, Andy (Judy) Breuker of Hudsonville, Pam (Larry) Orgeck of Grand Rapids, Jim (Sarah) Breuker of Wyoming, Mark Breuker of Wyoming; his mother-in-law, Jane Knoll of Fremont; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bryan (Linda) Knoll of Texas, Carlene (Bob) Arambula of Massachusetts, Kurt Knoll of Ohio; and by many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his father-in-law George Knoll, and by his brother-in-law Kent Knoll. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (721 Hillcrest Drive) with Pastor Jim Kuiper officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will also be at the church from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
