Kim Eugene Parks Sr.

Mr. Kim Eugene Parks Sr age 67, of Wyoming, passed away on April 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son, Kim Parks Jr; sister, Candis Parks; brothers, Chris Parks and David Fletcher; mother, MaDonna Fletcher; and father Tom Fletcher. Kim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia; children, Kristy (Justin) Esmann, Dustin Parks and Megan (Joshua) Clements; grandchildren, Sean Parks and Nova Clements. Also surviving are his siblings, Sue Fisher, Terry (Helen) Parks, Carol (Mark) Simerly, Vicki Fletcher, Sandy (Pete) Boles, Barbara Morgan, Fred (Tina) Fletcher, Lisa (Ken) Bowling, Julie (Tracy) Evans and Joy Fletcher; and many nieces and nephews. Kim grew up in New Castle, Indiana. When he was 20 years old he moved to Grand Rapids, MI and met and fell in love with his wife Virginia. They were married after knowing each other for 6 months and created a beautiful life and family in Wyoming, MI. He enjoyed working on cars, boats, and motorcycles and was very handy, there was nothing he couldn’t fix or jerry rig. He loved camping, fishing, gardening, and canning. Kim also loved his four legged friends Sparky, Dottie, Buster, and Poochie; the Rathbone Gang of Four. What he wanted most out of life was for his family to be happy and taken care of. A memorial service for Sr and Jr will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, April 27th at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE.
